SAYP

The Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) is a training programme that strengthens the participants' ability to drive and implement change work within their respective organisations.

About the programme

In 2025-2026, Fryshuset with the support of the Swedish Institute (SI) and in partnership with Armenian Progressive Youth (APY) offers the following SAYP programme: Inclusive Leadership and Youth Work in the Eastern Partnership.

The programme is designed to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations in the Eastern Partnership countries to develop and implement innovative solutions to youth inclusion. It provides them with tools to facilitate youth participation in diverse settings and practices. In a rapidly changing world, it is important to recognise changing forms of youth engagement and reasons that drive youth to participate.

The programme hence strengthens the ability of young professionals and organisations, working with and for youth, to facilitate processes that support youth by:

  • Working with inclusive and diversity-sensitive methods
  • Providing participants with tools to facilitate youth participation in diverse settings and practices, focusing particularly on:
    1. Identifying and reducing obstacles to youth participation.
    2. Developing young people’s skills and competencies to participate.
    3. Creating synergies to ensure that youth have access to resources and diverse arenas of participation.
